Fraser Island

Hi,
Here is the lowdown on our first adventure - a trip to Fraser Island. We were going to go to an island off from Rockhampton, but with the major floods it would have been lousy snorkeling there. So we decided to go to Fraser Island camping instead. It worked out pretty well, we hired an extra 4wd to fit everyone in. We are still living off the land eating pipis and mackeral.....

We spent the first night in the middle of the island in a rainforest area where there are some beautiful rainforests, streams and lakes.

The next day we moved to a camp further up the island right on the beach. Weather was good everyday, but it did rain at night.

We planned to live off the land, which worked for once, and we had clam chowder the first night at the beach, thanks to chefs Chris and Ada
