Big Surve

Post by Katie »

Emma and I made it up to Big Sur this week on a road trip from Southern California. We saw so many cool things along the way including Chumash cave paintings in the hills behind Santa Barbara. We camped in a few places along the way and joined up with Ben to head to Big Sur. I was glad to be with Emma for her first encounter with racoons! We camped in the redwoods in Pfeifer Big Sur then switched to a coastal site near Limekiln. The Pacific Highway is a neat drive too, always something great to look at. We went to the Henry Miller Memorial Library that had books from Kerouac, Steinbeck and more. Some great musicians have also passed through that place. Thurston Moore was playing the night we passed through but was too far to go back and see. What a cool venue. I only have a few photos that I took from my phone. Emma should upload the rest soon.
