We celebrated Mom's birthday in SLC before going to Las Vegas on Feb.6. The Hites had gone to Hawaii for the winter and left us the key to their house!
The birthday party was at Dave and Laura's house and was good fun!
In Vegas we rested, did some jigsaw puzzles, played some golf, enjoyed the company of Kay and Jerry Harmon, and hit a few thrift stores for books and more puzzles.
The weather was great - sunny and in the 70's every day. It rained the night we left for home and we had snow in southern Utah, but roads were good and got home safely.
Now it is snowing here, but the tulips are well up and the trees are starting to bud. Spring is on its way!

- Red Rocks Nat. Park where late Paleozoic carbonates are thrust over Mesozoic red beds of the Colorado Plateau. About 10 miles west of the Hite's house.
