Summer Vacation to DC

Post by David »

DO Michaela, Deirdre and I went to DC last week for a five day tour of the monuments and museums. It is a pretty incredible place marble and sandstone buildings are pervasive and huge. We saw the Smithsonians, the Capitol Building, the National Gallery of Art (both classic and modern), the zoo (pandas were off exhibit due to a new cub), the many of the memorials. I especially liked the Lincoln memorial.

It is a trip i'd recommend to anyone. the metro was easy and walking was scenic.
