A couple weeks back I went back up to the McCloud to see Chris and Ada. I brought along my friend Rosa from work. She had never experienced anything like the extreme wilds of the McCloud river preserve. Like always there was great food and drink and good company.
Rosa experienced her first game of scrabble (she won) and her first corn on the cob.

I have been waiting for these to show up! It looks like you had a great time. Glad to see Rosa again too.

I especially liked the pic of you showing us how big your trout was.

::D ... this is my first posting in the babcox family forum and the truth is that I feel a little "shy" ... (not really my natural self but it does feel a bit this way...).... I just wanted to Thank Ada and Chris (and of course, Michael) for such a wonderful vacation.... I had the loveliest time in there... and after recovering the "frozen" culture of sourdough, I've made the most fantastic bread this side of the Atlantic.... it reminds me of the mediterranean freshly baked bread we used to buy on sundays in Fortia (is a village close to where I come from -Castello d'Empuries-).... I am rambling... and losing my shyness .. je,je.. ") ... I'm making now the iogurt following Ada's wonderful recipee....

Sending a big abrazo (hug) to all of you,
Rosa ") xxx

I am going to paste the website of the village where I was born... it contains history and maps to place it in the north eastern area of Spain (in Catalonia)... http://www.castellodempuries.net/ang/vila/home.htm

.... and of course, anyone is welcome there!!! My parents run a restaurant and my mother is a great Andalusian cook ") (she is from Sevilla)...

I'll start posting more often... I'm getting warm on it now ")

Un beso a todos,
