I donn't know if it mad the news over there, but the swell that hit california when you put up this most recent post on Mavs also hit the outer islands of New Ireland (North of Bougainville, Lihir etc) coinciding with spring tides and caused almost tsunami style damage to villages, no mortalities tho I think.
