Christmas with Chris and Ada

Post by Grampa & Gramma »

We spent Christmas wirth Chris and Ada at the TNC ranch near Mt. Shasta in Northern California. It was a quiet, relaxing time and Ada's mother, Margaret, was there from Florida. The tree was a local juniper covered with little gray berrys. Chris and Ada cooked great meals, we drove around the ranch, saw the coyotes prowing around the house, and watched some DVDs, including Princes Bride (a standard!). We worked several puzzles (Margaret loves to puzzle), read, and Ada quilted.

The Shasta river is fenced off but this "cage" is where they can get access to the water. A flood covered it with weeds and grass so C & A cleaned it off.

Mount Shasta is always there and always facinating.

The cattle are fenced off from the river - the "cage" is where the cattle can get to the water, not Chris and Ada!!
