California Trip
We spent three weeks at the Welk Resort north of Escondido late Feb.- early March. Jean and her long time friend from Milwaukee, Jan Przybylski, came for a week, the Harmons from Vegas joined us for a week, and Katie came up from SDSU on weekends and a few other days. Weather was good, golf was good, food was good, etc. We had a great time. But now it is nice to be home, and time to start the garden work.

- We showed Katie the sights. She was most impressed with the Marines at Oceanside, just south of Camp Pendalton! Scarry!

- When Jean and Jan arrived we did flowers at Carlesbad.

- They grow Renunculus for the roots, packaged and sold around the world, and for cut flowers as well.

- We enjoyed Mexican food at Old Town in San Diego. And the margaritas!

- It was nice to have Mike and Hannah visit on my birthday.

- We golfed with the Harmons and Jean and Jan.

- John Williams came to dinner one evening. He lives in Poway, and was in Christchurch when Kay and Jerry and we were there in 1970.
