We were in Sedona for a wedding a couple weeks ago and decided to stay on for the week to see a bit of the state. We made a trip to the Grand Canyon and hike the south Kaibab trail about half way to the river and back. Beautiful scenery. We also got to Jerome which is a mining town that has gone from mining boom to virtual ghost town to now an arts enclave. We also drove up to the NE corner and spent a day in and around Canyon de Chelly.

Didn't label a couple of the images. The petroglyph is Navaho (horse riders so somewhat recent) chasing a deer. The picture of Carrie in the wind breaker is at the painted desert. It is up on the Colorado Plateau and we caught it on the way back from Chinle and Canyon De Chelly.

One of the pictures below was of some type of tracks in the sandstone. I didn't put anything in the image for scale but they were about cat-paw size

There is an awful lot of cool stuff packed into that area, you must have had a great time. What kind of coctus was that, i am thinking about getting one!
