BLACKFISH
Re: BLACKFISH
Wow this looks really interesting, i havent seen any ads for it - i hope it comes over here! How was it Sarah? The trailer reminds me of a documentary i saw about these guys who were experimenting with whether chimps could learn to talk "Nim" i think it was called, Saw most of that on a plane trip earlier this year.

Re: BLACKFISH
Hey, yeah it was good. It was pretty sad, and some of the seaworld people I just wanted to scream at them, really shows that these whales are being bred in captivity for the huge amount of money made when selling babies to another sea parks... They are too intelligent, wild and large to be held in these little pens. Many incidents with whales injuring/killing have occured but they are all swept under the carpet, so that the business can still make profits. Poor whales, I can't believe this is still happening, it's totally barbaric. I went with 3 of my friends and we were all crying! Anyways, the interviews can get a bit full on, but all in all it's an interesting film and I definately wanted to support it, hope it reaches you over there. I have also seen 'Nim' and enjoyed it in the same kind of way...

Sarah they showed this in Australia at a recent film festival, I didn't get to make the screening so I hope they release it somewhere else so I can watch it.
