I made gingerbread and needed the Becky's frosting recipe. Thanks Gram and Gramp, here goes:
4 Cups confectioner's sugar
1/4 Cup butter
2 Unbeaten egg whites
1 Teaspoon vanilla
1/4 Teaspoon Cream of tarter
Sift sugar, add butter, cut and work like pastry. When it looks like corn meal add two unbeaten egg whites. Beat, the more the better!
Makes a lot so cut in half for small batch of cookies.
We use it white in a decorator tube and color it or leave it white for frosting.
