Cliff jumping

Post by Michael »

Back in Washington and I'm counting down my final days here. Took off work today and went cliff jumping at a Whistle lake just outside of Anacortes with Alex (the English post doc from lab). On our drive in we passed this guy who had a nice collection of junk. We hiked into the lake but chose the wrong path and took the long way around to the jumping area. While walking the path we heard the mysterious whistling coming from the lake. It continued for about five minutes and we don't know what caused it. We got to the jump site and it started raining. This didn't last long but it made the water feel warmer that the air. We took a couple jumps from the 30 footer before moving up to the 50. I'm guessing at these heights. The only chickens this day were the ones we saw in a truck on the way back home.
