We have been busy with a number of things this summer and fall and have been a bit remiss about posting some of our adventures! The highlights have been the McCloud reunion and our 50th. But hare are a few highlights of a couple other trips. We had several camping trips, golfed, fished, and kicked back. Our September outings were especially good for us after the flury of activity around the 50th weekend. We hope to get in one more camping trip before winter sets in, which will probably be about the first of November. So here's a few pics to share.

- We have been away alot this summer and it is always nice to come home. Our place is the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow!

- The next day we did a little better! Rainbows and one big tiger trout. We had a family fish fry when we got home!

- We managed to catch a few good trout on the first day! Judy caught three on three cosecutive casts at one point!

- The highlight of our Ferron trip was fishing in Wrigley Reservoir. When a fish was on you had to drag it over the weeds in order to land it, which didn't always work.

- This is our camp site on the Ferron River. No one else arround, which is why we like to camp in September and October.

- We played at a 9 hole course at Ferron south of Price, where the holes are alternatively on top or between steep ridges of the local strata. Its built below the spillway of a large reservoir, and has a 600 plus yard, double dog leg, par 5 hole! The othe

- We weren't the only turkeys on the course at Wasatch!

- We played golf in Wyoming and several places in Utah. We especially like the course at Wasatch St. Park at Heber, where we can camp and enjoy the colors. Its only an hour from home, too.

- We collected a jeep load of gneiss rocks for our garden from the Wind River mountains.

- We spent a week at our friend's cabin in Wyoming, touring, fishing, and playing Kings in the Corner! These are pretty small fish out of the Green River, but fun nevertheless.

- Whenever we camp we hang up our feeder and enjoy the hummingbirds. Usually there is a flock of them fighting about who gets to feed.

- Gramma continued her efforts to teach M and D how to knit.

- We camped on the Duchesne down river from Monkey Rock with Michaela and Deirdre. Highlights were meeting real cowboys and the hamburgers at the Tebiona cafe!

Tiger Trout
The tiger trout is a cross between brown and brook trout. It has dark maze-like pattern all over a brownish, gray body. The belly is a yellowish orange, as are the pectoral, pelvic and anal fins. The tail fin is square. It was a little over 14 inches long, while the record is 23 inches. It fought well. It tasted good!
