So what did people get up to on Easter? Anybody see the Passion? The weather in Seattle was unusually warm and sunny for Seattle. It got up to 75 on Saturday and 80 on Sunday. I got up early both mornings and hit the skatepark. The Easter bunny was out on Sunday.
Spent the rest of the weekend hanging out in the yard in a lawn chair reading Da Vinci Code (i'm finally getting into it). Hannah came over and we did some BBQing. Good times!
We get nice weather like this every so often up here but it rarely falls on a weekend.
Hi Gang! We are now back in Perth after our week in Dunsbourough. We celebrated Easter at an Anglican Service in the local Catholic Church, after having the traqditional hunt for eggs in the house we were in. Then we horsed arround and for Dinner we prepared two legs of lamb, roast potatoes, and minty peas, with ice cream and Easter butter cookies (Christmas recipe). We went fishing a couple times but didn't have much luck - caught only two "eaters", which were good. One baked and one "Veracrusanna."
We toured, drank some wine, visited some beaches. ate a lot. but survived.
We went out to watch the kangaroos in the fields one evening at sunset, and saw a lot, including two "boxing"!
It was good to have time with Sarah and her boyfriend Sean. He is a very fine fellow, and she was sweet and very helpful, cooking three nights! And she's a good cook!
Emma was her usual cheerful self and had a great time surfing.
S & S went back to Brisbane yesterday and Emma returns to school in Auckland tomorrow.
Katie is sweet and very busy with school things. She has started rowing (a chip off the old block!)
We have another week here and then to Brisbane for 5 days, home the 29th. We're ready to start gardening and camping!
There have been a lot of digital pictures taken and we are encouraging the takers to get a few each on the web site. Stay tuned.
So long for now! Love to all, Russ and Judy
