Here's some of the pictures we took. I'm trying to put an album together to share at Christmas. Carrie, I need your scrapbooking help!

The scenery was spectacular, but the weather was humid and rainy, so there was lots of haze, which is pretty typical for this time of year.

Some of the wall was still not renovated.  The Ming Dynasty renovated much of it in the 14-1500's and then modern China continued the renovation after the Cultural Revolution, in the 90's.

People came to the Temple of Heaven grounds every day to dance, sing, play cards, and hang out.  It was a real peoples park.

Our first stop was Tianamen Square and Mao's tomb, which we didn't visit.  We walked through the Forbidden City but it was crowded and just a bunch of buildings and courtyards - not very photogenic.
